GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – A 20-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Tuesday to 42 years in prison with a 25-year minimum mandatory for one count of attempted second-degree murder.
Jallil Graves was convicted last month.

In July 2013, he shot 21-year-old Jon Barrett Milam II during a party at a Woodbriar Drive home in Clay County. The investigation revealed that during the house party, Graves and several others were asked to leave after they became rowdy.
The group left the home, but remained in front of it, where they began setting off fireworks in the street, prosecutors said.
They said when Milam and a friend went outside to ask the group to leave again, Graves approached them with a gun and ordered them to get on the ground. Graves then shot the victim in the face and fled the scene, prosecutors said.
Milam survived, but is still recovering from his injuries.
Graves is also awaiting trial for the double killing of brothers Andrew and Matthew Bohannon, which occurred at Golden Corral in July 2013.
