A 22-year-old Fernandina Beach man was arrested in connection with a home burglary last week.
Fernandina Beach police said during the early morning hours of Nov. 6 a homeowner in the 200 block of North 15th Street was awakened by a noise in her home. She found her door open and a man fleeing from the area, then realized various personal items, including a laptop, had been stolen.
Investigators identified David Keen as a suspect and served a search warrant at his home Wednesday. Police said they recovered the stolen laptop and other belongings stolen from the victim's home, along with other items believed to have been stolen from other victims in recent weeks.
Keen was arrested and charged with burglary to an occupied dwelling and theft. Keen has an extensive arrest record, including charges of assault and battery, loitering and prowling, burglary to a vehicle, theft, resisting arrest and domestic violence.
