JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 23-year-old man was convicted Monday in Jacksonville in the shooting death of another man and woman in August 2011.
Tyrone Richardson was convicted on one count of murder in the first degree, one count of murder in the second degree, one count of attempted murder in the first degree, six counts of murder in the second degree and one count of shooting or throwing deadly missiles.

According to the District Attorney's Office, Richardson and Kenneth Curry got into an altercation over drugs at a Prince Street apartment complex. At that time, Richardson pistol whipped Curry and then a shootout occurred after Richardson pulled out a gun and fired 19 times.
The District Attorney's Office said Curry died at the scene, and innocent 19-year-old bystander, Danielle Mutton, was also shot and died at the scene. A 13-month-old child in a nearby apartment was struck in the head by gunfire, but has since recovered from his injuries.
Richardson is scheduled to be sentenced the week of Oct. 13. He faces mandatory life in prison.
