Man, 27, convicted of shooting at girlfriend
A jury has convicted 27-year-old Bernard Moore on three counts of aggravated assault, one count of carrying a concealed firearm and one count of discharging a firearm in public.
In February 2012, Moore was involved in an ongoing verbal dispute with his girlfriend. After he left his girlfriend's home, she went with friends to a local nightclub, where she was confronted again by Moore.
When the victim returned home later that evening, she found Moore waiting for her to return. As she got out of the car, Moore threw her to the ground.
After Moore was pulled off of the victim by others at the scene, he reached into his waistband, pulled out a gun and shot 15 times in the direction of the victim. The victim was not hurt in the incident.
Moore faces a minimum mandatory 43 years in prison. He will be sentenced the week of Dec. 2.
