Man, 28, receives 105-year prison sentence

Rashane Jones was convicted on three counts of attempted murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Rashane Leonard Jones, 28, was sentenced Tuesday to 105 years in prison with a minimum mandatory of 63 years for a conviction on multiple counts of attempted murder.

Jones, who was convicted in August, received 30 years in prison with a 20-year minimum mandatory on each of the three counts of attempted second-degree murder.

He also received 15 years with a three-year minimum mandatory on one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The sentences will run consecutively.

In June 2012, Jones approached the three male victims, who were standing in front of a barber shop on A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard. Jones then pulled out his gun and shot at the three victims multiple times, before fleeing the scene on foot. All of the victims were struck, but later recovered from their injuries.
