JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 30-year-old man was found guilty Thursday afternoon of kidnapping, child abuse and interference with custody.
In June 2014, Willis Armando Miller approached the 8-year-old victim as he walked to the restroom inside the Gateway Mall. Miller grabbed the child by the arm and pulled the victim toward him. He then told the child, "I want to show you some love." The victim was able to get away from the defendant and notify his mother, who then contacted authorities.

Miller is a registered sex offender with a prior conviction of lewd or lascivious battery from 2006. He now faces life in prison as a habitual felony offender and prison release re-offender. Miller will be sentenced the week of Jan. 12.
