Man, 35, gets life for 2012 robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 35-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced this week to life in prison as a habitual felony offender for one count of armed robbery.

Samuel Hughlon was previously convicted of three counts of burglary to a dwelling in 1997 and of burglary to a structure in 2008.

In July 2012, the victim went to Hughlon's West 66th Street home to give Hughlon's brother some money.

When the victim arrived, Hughlon invited her inside the home to wait for his brother to arrive. Hughlon then used a gun to rob the victim of $900.
