Man, 48, convicted of wife's murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A jury found Kenneth James Lukens, 48, guilty Friday evening on one count of first-degree murder in the death of his wife, 41-year-old Jill Lukens.

In July 2011, officers responded to the couple's Black Angus Drive home after Lukens reported his wife had been shot. Upon arrival, officers found the victim deceased on the floor of her bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds to her face and upper body.

Lukens now faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. He will be sentenced the week of Oct. 13.
