GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Gainesville bank.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Wells Fargo on Southwest Archer Road.

Gainesville police said the man passed a note to the teller indicating he was there to commit a robbery. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tom Mullins at 393-7619. Police said tipsters can text keyword GPDFL plus a tip to 274637 to provide anonymous information.
