Man accused of stabbing live-in boyfriend, Gainesville police say

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A man is accused of stabbing his live-in boyfriend during an argument, Gainesville police said.

Officers went to the 1900 block of Southeast Fourth Street.

Police said the officers determined that Frederick Warren, 31, stabbed his live-in boyfriend of four years with a homemade "shank" knife during the argument.

The victim was in stable condition at the hospital. Police said the victim was able to communicate what happened, and that there were several witnesses to the incident.

Warren left the area before police arrived. Police said he was later found at his sister's residence.
