A 33-year-old Middleburg man was arrested after deputies said he robbed a Dunkin Donuts.on Sunday morning.
Clay County deputies said Eric Correia held employees at gunpoint at the restaurant at 1543 Blanding Blvd. just after 7 a.m. and demanded money.
An employee opened the cash register, and Correia grabbed $153 then fled, investigators said.
They said he ran to his car, and as he was driving off, the assistant manager of the restaurant threw a patio chair at the car, breaking the passenger window and mirror.
About three hours later, deputies said they received a call from the owner of the car that it was damaged. Deputies said they went to the home and detained Correia for questioning. He was later arrested.
Investigators said they found the gun used in the robbery in a wooded area behind Correia's home.
Correia is a convicted felon.
