YULEE, Fla. - Nassau County deputies responding to reports of gunfire in Yulee on Monday night found a 32-year-old man shot to death.
About 9:45 p.m., Roderick Henderson was found dead on a gunshot wound to the chest. His body was lying on Palm Tree Drive near the intersection of Pinetree Drive.
Within hours, deputies had detained four people -- two adults and two juveniles. By midday Tuesday, all but one was released.
Deputies have charged Muhamed Alnajjar, 21, of Fernandina Beach, with murder.
Investigators have not released the circumstances or the motive for the fatal shooting.
Channel 4 learned that Henderson had spent three terms in Florida prisons, one each for robbery, selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a school and cocaine possession.
