Man Charged In Arlington Home-Invasion Murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday, accused of killing a man during a home invasion in an Arlington apartment last weekend -- a crime that focuses some extra attention on Jacksonville's violence.

Fabian Thompson is charged with shooting to death 26-year-old Terrell Buiey during a robbery on Jan. 8 at the Summer Oaks Apartments.

The murder captured media attention in Philadelphia, where Buiey's cousin, Lito Sheppard, a former star at Raines High School and the University of Florida, now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles -- a team still in contention to play in next month's Super Bowl.

Sheppard, 23, and Buiey, 26, were raised in the same home and treated like brothers. Buiey was scheduled to fly to Philadelphia Sunday to see his cousin play in the NFL Divisional Playoff game against the Vikings the day after his murder.

Sheppard has made some very unflattering comments about his home town to the Philadelphia press-- calling it a "crazy place." He called the area around Raines High, "a ghetto."
