Man charged with manslaughter in fatal fight

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 36-year-old man is charged with manslaughter after a man he punched last month died, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said Terrance Jackson and 54-year-old Curtis Jackson, who are not related, got into an argument over drugs Aug. 3 at a gas station at 715 North Main Street in Springfield.

Police said Terrance slugged Curtis, who went down, striking his head.

Curtis died later at a hospital. The exact date of his death was not released.
