In January 2006, White and Drew, who were neighbors, got into an argument outside of their homes on Joffre Drive on the Westside. During the argument, Drew punched White in the mouth, prosecutors said.

White then pulled out his .40 caliber pistol, chased Drew down the road until they reached a neighbor's fence, and shot him, prosecutors said.

Drew died at the scene as a result of multiple gunshot wounds to his arm, head and chest.

In 2007, White was convicted of this charge and sentenced to life in prison. However, due to an error in the jury instructions, the case was reversed on appeal.

White now faces life in prison for this conviction. He will be sentenced the week of Nov. 10.
