Man convicted in connection to murder

Lawrence Albert Williams, Jr., 39, faces life in prison

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man was convicted of accessory after the fact in connection with a 2014 murder.

Lawrence Albert Williams, Jr., 39, was found guilty on Thursday.

In December 2014, police officers found Keith Sterling, 36, dead on the porch of his home on South Lane Avenue.

During the investigation, officers learned Williams often drove the shooting suspect's vehicle.  Williams was questioned on several occasions, where he provided false information to protect the identity of the shooter.

The murder investigation is ongoing.

Williams faces life in prison.  He will be sentenced at the end of June.
