In April 2013, Lance held up an employee, in broad daylight, at the McDonald's on North Davis Street. Lance, who once worked at the fast food restaurant, was waiting for the employee to make the morning cash deposit when he put a gun to the victim's head and demanded the victim to drop the money. Lance then fled the scene in a car. Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers caught Lance a short time later at a nearby apartment complex.

Lance now faces life in prison as a habitual offender. He has previous felony convictions for carrying a concealed firearm and resisting with violence. Lance will be sentenced the week of March 9.
