Man convicted of killing brother

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 48-year-old man was convicted Thursday night of second-degree murder in the Decemeber 2012 death of his brother.

Victor Keith Wilson was also convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated assault.

In December 2012, Victor Wilson, his brother Eugene Wilson and his brother's
girlfriend were at Victor Wilson's residence when the two brothers began to argue.

As the situation escalated, Victor Wilson pulled out a gun and shot his brother multiple times. He then pointed the gun at the girlfriend as she tried to get help.

Eugene Wilson was taken to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

Victor Wilson had a prior felony conviction for armed robbery with a weapon. He is
now facing life in prison as a prison release re-offender and habitual violent felony
offender.

He will be sentenced the week of Nov. 2.Â
