JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was convicted of sexually abusing children and now faces mandatory life in prison on each count.
Wilmer Lycans, 55, was found guilty on eight counts of Capital Sexual Battery.

Authorities were alerted in 2013 to a history of sexual abuse between Lycans and three child victims.
The victims are all adults now. They said Lycans forced them to perform sexual acts with him and with each other on multiple occasions over a five year period.
The victims were all under age 12 when the abuse occurred.
Lycans will be sentenced in July.
