Man critically injured after motorcycle flipped 4 times

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A motorcyclist was critically injured Sunday evening after losing control of his motorcycle on Jacksonville's Westside, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Theodore Rogers, 59, was traveling eastbound on 103rd Street near Daniell Terrace shortly after 7 p.m., when for unknown reasons, he lost control and veered onto the raised concrete median.

Rogers' motorcycle flipped four times, throwing him onto the westbound turn lane of 103rd Street. 

Rogers was transported to Orange Park Medical Center with critical injuries.

103rd Street was partially shut down for four hours while FHP investigated the crash.

The FHP report said Rogers was not wearing a helmet.
