JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person is dead and another suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident Thursday night on the Westside.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrived at the crash around 9 p.m. on Chaffee Road South near Chaffee Terrace.

The driver of a car going south on Chaffee lost control, the car hit a culvert and flipped, police said. One passenger was ejected and another one was trapped.
The two men were taken to UF Health Jacksonville. One man died at the hospital and the other man is in critical condition.
Police are unsure of the ages of the men and don't know if they were wearing seat belts.
Chaffee Road South was closed until about midnight.
