Man faces life for robbing woman with hunting knife

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 29-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted this week on one count of armed robbery.

In May, a female victim was walking home from work when she was approached by Dustin Duty. He grabbed her by the arm, held a large hunting knife to her throat, and took $150 from her, prosecutors said.

Duty then fled the scene.

The victim immediately notified authorities, who were able to locate Duty at a nearby food mart.

Duty has multiple felony convictions from four different states. He now faces life in prison as a habitual felony offender. Duty will be sentenced the week of Jan. 27.
