ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A man is recovering in the hospital after being injured from an apparent lightning strike in Crescent Beach.
Saint Johns County Fire Rescue said the incident happened in the 6000 block of A1A South.

Investigators said the man is 39-years-old and was standing in ankle deep water when the apparent strike occurred. His identity has not been released.
The man was treated at the scene and taken by helicopter to a hospital in Jacksonville. His condition was not clear.
