Man hospitalized in Clay County stabbing

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A man is in the hospital after being stabbed in Clay County Thursday evening.

The Clay County Fire and Rescue Department responded to a report of a stabbing on Sunrise Village Drive at 6:50 p.m.

A man was found stabbed in the chest with possibly a punctured lung, according to CCFR.

Police said a couple and another man were on Sunrise Village Drive. The two men got into a fight and the boyfriend stabbed the other man.

That man was transported to UF Health in Jacksonville and is expected to be OK.

The man who allegedly stabbed him is in custody, but not under arrest.
