JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police said the 30-year-old man shot and killed early last Saturday morning lived in the Oakwood Villa Apartments on Kona Avenue, where the shooting happened.
The shooting happened about 12:45 a.m. June 20 in the complex behind Woodland Acres Elementary School.

On Friday, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Juan Morales.
The morning after the shooting police said one man was killed and a second was shot in the leg. The name of the second man was not released.
Homicide detectives said an unknown dark-colored vehicle drove through the apartment complex and opened fire at the two victims, then left the scene.
Police did not provide any additional information about the investigation. They did ask that anyone with any information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
