JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 52-year-old man in a wheelchair was hit and killed while trying to crossing Roosevelt Boulevard at Birkenhead Road on Sunday morning.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has identified the man as Edward Valentin Roberts.

Police said a 23-year-old woman driving a Lexus south on Roosevelt before 9 a.m. had a green light and the Roberts was in a wheelchair and rolled into the path of her car.
The car hit the wheelchair and the Roberts was ejected. He was taken to UF Health and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Lexus suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.
JSO says drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Officers said that because the driver of the Lexus had the green light, she will not face any charges.
