LAKE CITY, Fla. – A 19-year-old man wanting to buy some marijuana was a victim of a home invasion robbery in an attempt to steal $12,000, according to Lake City police.
Lakarvee Morrow, 19, was at his apartment at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Northwest Archer Street with his friend, 19-year-old Infinity Dunning.

Police said the two were waiting for Dunning's boyfriend, 20-year-old Jordan Shaw, to show up with some marijuana they could buy and smoke.
After Shaw and his younger brother, 16-year-old Mikaiah Johnson, engaged Dunning and Morrow in some small talk inside the apartment garage, police said Johnson walked back to their vehicle to get the marijuana.
Shaw became very nervous and fidgety and when Johnson returned from the car, police said Shaw pulled a small-caliber handgun out and pointed it at Morrow, demanding $12,000 in cash. Shaw stated someone told him Morrow had $12,000 cash and he wanted it, police said.
Morrow admitted to only having a few hundred dollars inside, but not anything close to $12,000. Not being satisfied, police said Shaw, at gunpoint, threatened to shoot everyone in the home and forced Morrow inside and instructed him to wake up his grandmother, Shirley Morrow.
After waking Shirley Morrow up, Lakarvee Morrow told her they had to go to the bank to get some money, but she refused at such a late hour. During this conversation, Shaw was standing behind Shirley Morrow's recliner and acted as if he was going to shoot her in the head, according to police.
Lakarvee Morrow was then forced around the corner and into his bedroom, still at gunpoint, where he got $750 cash and gave it to Shaw. Police said both Shaw and Morrow returned to the garage, where Johnson and Dunning were.
Johnson then took the handgun from his brother and pointed it at Morrow's forehead, demanding the rest of the money, authorities said. After realizing there was no more cash they could steal, they told him they were, "sparing his life tonight but would be back [Sunday] at 11:30 a.m. for the rest," according to Lake City police.
Authorities responded after the incident and interviewed Lakarvee and Shirley Morrow. On Sunday, police said officers went to 883 Southeast Monroe Street, met with Johnson and interviewed him about his involvement in the armed robbery the night before.
Johnson said his brother told him they were going to "score a lick (robbery) and get 12 stacks ($12,000)" prior to heading over to the apartment that night, Lake City police said.
Johnson was then arrested and taken to the Columbia County Detention Center. Police said the Department of Juvenile Justice was contacted and they advised they would take custody of Johnson and transport him to Gainesville. Johnson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, larceny and armed robbery.
Later Sunday afternoon, an officer continued to reach out to family members, after which Shaw later turned himself in to police. He was interviewed and arrested on suspicion of involvement in the armed robbery from the night prior and booked in the Columbia County Detention Center on $705,000 bond. Shaw was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of possession of firearm by convicted felon, larceny and armed robbery.
