Further investigation led investigators to the residence of Robert Lamar Starling. The DOJ said when officers executed a federal search warrant at his home, Starling was not home. They found him later that morning, and in an interview, Starling told officials that he had produced pornographic images of several prepubescent children.

An analyses of Starling's computer revealed more than 600 videos depicting child pornography, according to the DOJ.

Starling faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years, up to 20 years, in federal prison and a potential life term of supervision.
