JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 24-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Thursday morning to 45 years in prison for attempted murder and gun charges.
Corey Lydell Morman was convicted in October of attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He faces a minimum mandatory of 33 years in prison.

The investigation revealed the incident stemmed from a previous dispute between Morman's girlfriend and the victim's girlfriend.
Prosecutors said the victim and his girlfriend were loading items into their vehicle outside their apartment in June 2014, when Morman came out of his apartment, which was in the same complex, and got into a white truck.
Prosecutors said when Morman pulled up next to the victim, Morman fired multiple shots at him before leaving the scene.
