JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are asking the public for help finding the man who used a knife to hold up a Westside drug store on Wednesday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released surveillance photos of a man who officers said entered the CVS store at 7790 Blanding Blvd. about 11:30 a.m., walked behind a counter and tried to pry the cash register open.

When confronted by the cashier, the man displayed a knife, according to officers.  The store manager came over and gave the man money, who then ran from the business.

Police describe the robber as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 120 to 140 pounds.  He was wearing a pink shirt, tan shorts and was armed with a pocket knife.

Anyone who has any information about the robbery or recognizes the man in the photos is asked to call Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
