JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Deangelo Parker has been sentenced to three years and six months in federal prison for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales Howard also ordered Parker to forfeit $43,335 and pay restitution in the amount of $120,144, all of which are traceable proceeds of the charged criminal conduct.

Parker pleaded guilty on July 11, 2014.
According to court documents, Parker stole personal identifying information, including names and Social Security numbers, from multiple individuals who sought tax consulting services from his company, Certified Tax Consultants. From January 2012 through February 2012, Parker used this personal identifying information to electronically file 51 fraudulent tax returns, in which he claimed $209,638 in tax refunds. The refunds were then deposited directly into his business bank account.
