His sentences will run consecutively.

In September 2014, officers responded to the Suburban Lodge on Phillips Highway and found the victim, 49-year-old Lloyd Williams, dead on the sidewalk in front of one of the motel rooms.

The investigation revealed that Macklin was at the Suburban Lodge with the victim on the night of the incident.

While there, Macklin got into an argument and shot Williams multiple times. He then fled the area and led police on a high-speed chase.
