JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty this week to the shooting death of another man at a trailer park, state attorneys said.
Tony Curtis Brinson Jr., 28, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In October 2011, officers learned about a shooting that had happened at Trailer Village Trailer Park on North Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers found Rominique Jordan, 30, laying on the ground, deceased, state attorneys said.
The investigation revealed that Jordan was involved in an argument with some of Brinson's friends.

During the argument, Brinson pulled out his gun and shot Jordan multiple times, according to state attorneys. Brinson then fled the scene.
State attorneys said Brinson was sentenced to a total of 40 years in prison, with a 28-year minimum mandatory sentence, for the charges.
