JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is recovering from a gunshot wound after police said he was shot in Northwest Jacksonville, early Monday morning.
At 2:10 a.m. police were dispatched to the Cleveland Arms Apartments, located at 5020 Cleveland Road, in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his lower left leg.
The victim was taken to UF Health with non life-threatening injuries.
The victim told police that he was in an outside area of the apartment complex when he was shot. The victim was unable to provide any verified suspect information at this time.
Officers canvassed the outside areas and nearby apartment buildings in efforts to locate a scene, but no suspect was located.
The Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating the shooting.
