JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Police are investigation after a man was shot on a street in Northwest Jacksonville early Friday morning.
The Jacksonville Sheriff Office said a man with a gunshot wound to his leg was was found on Mcquade Street, just a block away from Eugene J. Butler Middle School. Police believe the shooting happened shortly after midnight at the corner of Fairfax and West 4th Street -- about three blocks away.

The victim was taken to the hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police had no suspect information. The JSO's Violent Crimes Task Force was investigating.
