Police in St. Augustine are trying to identify a man they said stole someone's wallet from a gym locker room, then used the victim's debit card.

Police said the man, believed to be in his mid-50s to mid-60s, went into Refinery Gym on Anastasia Boulevard and entered the men's locker room.

Investigators said he took someone's wallet, and by the time the victim had realized what happened, the thief had used his debit card and tried to use his credit card.

The thief ran up a bill for $740.94, police said.

Investigators released a surveillance photo of a man they want to talk to. They said he walks bow-legged and was wearing a black ball cap, black shirt, black pants and black shoes.
