The first born in Nassau County was a baby boy delivered at 9:11 a.m. at Baptist Medical Center Nassau.

His name is Aidan Keyshawn Alderman (pictured, left), born to very proud parents Alyssa Jennings and Rodney Alderman

The couple lives in Hilliard and Aidan is their first child.

Nixon Jacob Beltran (pictured, right) was the first little bundle of joy delivered at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. He was born at 10:37 a.m. to parents Katherine Beltran and Joseph Beltran.

Nixon's mom said the New Year festivities may have prompted Nixon's birth.

"We came here a little after midnight while we were out driving on I-10. We saw the fireworks in downtown," said Katherine Beltran. "Then I was having contractions there. They were far apart, then they started getting closer as midnight was approaching, so we went home first, got everything then headed here."

A visit to Baptist Health in Jacksonville was nothing new for the couple. Both the mom and the dad used to work at the hospital.

Joseph Beltran now works at Baptist Medical Center Beaches, where the first baby girl in Jacksonville Beach was delivered.

Her name is Kaileigh (pictured, left), born to proud parents Brittney and Phillip.

She made her entrance into world at 2:38 p.m., weighing in at 6 pounds and 14 ounces.
