Waycross police say a 11-year-old girl believed to have run away from home on Wednesday night has found safe at a relative's home.

Imani "Moni" Johnson, was reported missing around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.  A citizen reported seeing her around 9:30 p.m. a few blocks from her residence, walking toward her home.

Thursday morning at 8:40 a.m., Capt. Danny Hampton reported the girl was found safe. 

"We are very thankful she has been located and that she is safe, and we would like to thank everyone who called with information to help with the investigation," Capt. Hampton said.
