"The city has been working with our friends at Sunshine Soccer Group, promoting this game and getting Philadelphia to help build the soccer culture here in Jacksonville," said City of Jacksonville Special Events Director, Joel Lamp.

For the second year in a row, Philadelphia Union chose Jacksonville for their pre-season training. Last year, the Union faced Montreal Impact at EverBank Field during its pre-season training. Wednesday night, they'll take on the New York Red Bulls at EverBank Field.

Tuesday night, the teams held open training sessions and a free youth clinic, but Wednesday, is the chance for everyone to see the big match live. Tickets are available at $15 for groups and $20 for general admission at the stadium or on ticketmaster.com.

"It's a unique opportunity to see two teams that are going to be continuous for the Eastern Conference Championship in MLS. If you're a soccer fan, or even just a casual soccer fan, it's an opportunity to see some of the best players in the world perform right in your backyard," said Lamp.

The city's special events director said this is a great opportunity for Jacksonville to host two major soccer teams and is paving the way for even bigger events like this in the future.
