JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 35-year-old man was arrested Friday on two counts of DUI manslaughter in a February crash that killed two people.

Crystal Sanford, 22, died right after a Chevrolet Impala she was in was struck by a pickup truck that had crossed the center lane into oncoming traffic on Beach Boulevard at 3:44 a.m. Feb. 27.

Gary Simmons, who was driving the Impala, died a month later.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of the pickup, Joseph Farley, was injured in the crash, but recovered. According to the FHP accident report, alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the crash and blood-alcohol testing was conducted on Farley.

On Friday, troopers arrested Farley on charges of driving under the influence, DUI manslaughter and DUI property damage. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office website, Farley is being held without bond.
