JSO: Man shot multiples times, once in face

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police say a 26-year-old man was shot several times inside a home at the Pine Breeze Mobile Home Park early Tuesday morning, with at least one shot hitting him in the face.

"At approximately 3:30 this morning at the mobile home community of Pine Breeze mobile home park off 103rd Street, one 26-year-old black male was shot multiple times while coming out of one of the homes. At this time we have no suspect information," said JSO Detective Jessica Shouse.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Aggravated Battery unit responded to the scene on 103rd Street near Connie Jean Road.

One person living in the Pine Breeze mobile home park told Channel 4 he heard several gunshots shortly after 4 a.m. He said he also saw someone running shortly after gunshots rang out.

The victim's condition was not immediately known Tuesday morning.

"He was shot multiple times, one of the shots was to the face, which makes it difficult for him to talk," said Shouse.

Police say they don't know what type of gun was used or if the victim lived in the home.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said there were no witnesses to the shooting.
