Study: Childless couples happier

Gender makes a difference in happiness

Children might be the light of your life, but a new study reveals kids may not make the happiest marriages.

The Daily Mail reports a Open University study reveals couples without children have a happier marriage.

The study of more than five thousand people revealed couples without children work more to keep the relationship going. The couples went out on more dates together and even cooked things for each other more.

Childless couples might be happier, but don't let it fool you.

The study proved gender makes a difference in happiness. It turns out mothers are actually happier than women with no children.

Though when it comes to men, it was the opposite. Men without children are happier than those who have children.

Two words, taught young, but often sometimes forgotten as we get older, were said, by the participants, to be what helps make a strong relationship. Those two words are 'Thank you.'
