JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 37-year-old Jacksonville woman who was so addicted to crack cocaine she let two men inappropriately touch her daughter was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison.

Dalina Nicholas was sentenced to 15 years on each of the four counts of child neglect she pleaded guilty to in January. The first two counts will run consecutively, and the second two counts will run concurrently.

In 2012, police were tipped off to the abuse by a homeless man who flagged down a Jacksonville Beach officer and reported what was happening to the 6-year-old girl.

The report included the fact that Nicholas was so addicted to crack cocaine that she failed to supervise the victim properly and allowed men into her home who touched her daughter inappropriately.

Nicholas testified against co-defendants Norman Thompson and John Hagans (pictured, right). Both were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for capital sexual battery.

The state attorney's office said the victim of the sexual abuse is now 8 years old and adopted by another family.
