Multi-million dollar helicopters move through JaxPort

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three multi-million dollar helicopters and ten ambulances moved through JaxPort's heavy lift dock at Blount Island before being shipped to northern Africa.

The ambulances were loaded onto a platform lift before being placed aboard the cargo vessel Ocean Freedom.

The refurbished helicopters and new vehicles are being shipped to northern Africa through the U.S. government's Foreign Military Sales program, which promotes stability through the sale of equipment to U.S. allies overseas.
