Roy Allen Miller, 30, was arrested for home invasion in Murray Hill on Tuesday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Murray Hill resident with a baseball bat and a homeless intruder with a brick tangled just after midnight on Tuesday after the homeless man tried to force his way into the home, police said.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, told police that Roy Miller, 30, had been knocking on his bedroom window the last several nights in an attempt to get the man to give him money.

Miller went from knocking on the window to breaking in the back door with a brick, police said.

The man met Miller with a baseball bat and started to hit him with the bat. The man fell down, and he and Miller wrestled for the bat. Miller grabbed some money that was on the counter and fled, said police.

He was arrested an hour and a half later and charged with home invasion.
