NFL Hall of Famer denies waitress tip

Warren Sapp says waitress called him "boy" and offered bad service

MIAMI, Fla. – A waitress is responding after she posted a picture of a receipt with zero tip on Twitter.

She said she was waiting on NFL Hall of Famer, Warren Sapp, at a Miami restaurant but he refused to tip after the meal.

When the waitress received the receipt, there was a note written on it that says "boys don't tip."

Sapp said the waitress kept calling him and his friend "boys," instead of men.
He also said the service was horrible and that he actually left the restaurant because of it.

But the waitress says she treated them like any other table.

She said she told them "hey boys, what can I get you to drink?"

She said she calls customers "boys" and "girls" all the time, and has never had another complaint.

And the waitress said Sapp didn't leave early because he and his friend were watching a World Cup match.

People have come down on both sides of the issue on social media.

Some said that if the service was bad, he should have left before racking up a $69 bill.

But others said it sounds like the whole thing was blown out of proportion.

Head to our Facebook page, comment and tell us what you think. Do you think Sapp was being too sensitive to the "boys" comment? Or do you think he was justified for stiffing the waitress?
