Nighttime detours coming for Butler Blvd at I-95

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nighttime road closures with detours on J. Turner Butler Boulevard at Interstate 95 are rescheduled to Tuesday through Friday as part of Florida Department of Transportation's reconstruction of the I-95/Butler Boulevard interchange. The original closures were scheduled Thursday through Sunday.

The nightly detours from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. are required to place concrete beams across Butler Boulevard for the new I-95 flyover overpass. In addition to the detours, lane closures on Butler Boulevard are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The westbound Butler Boulevard detour is I-95 north to Bowden Road (Exit 345) and then re-entering I-95 south to return to westbound Butler Boulevard.

The eastbound Butler Boulevard detour is I-95 south to Baymeadows Road (Exit 341) and re-entering I-95 north to return to eastbound Butler Boulevard.
