No charges for 2 in alleged planned rocket attack against Florida police

Christopher Michael Conger, Jeremy Robertson released from jail

EUSTIS, Fla. – Two men investigators say planned to use a rocket-propelled grenade launcher in an attack against Eustis police will not face any charges.

Christopher Michael Conger and Jeremy Robertson were arrested in May after investigators said the pair had been stockpiling weapons as part of the planned attack.

According to the Ocala Star-Banner, prosecutors decided not to file charges because they could not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

In a memo, the state attorney's office cited a tipster with a history of mental illness, facts that did not match that tipster's story, a problematic search warrant and an inability to connect the suspects to weapons and drugs found in the storage shed.

Both Conger and Robertson have been released from jail.
