PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. - With more and more retailers opening on Thanksgiving day to appeal to the masses who can't wait to spend on Black Friday deals; one major store is upholding the tradition of locking their doors on the holiday.
As they have for decades, Nordstrom says they will remain closed and won't start celebrating the joys of massive holiday commerce until the day after Thanksgiving and not a second before.
Unlike Walmart, Target and Macy's, Nordstrom's has refused to back down on their tradition of staying closed throughout the entire Thanksgiving holiday.
As a show of their principals, the store has continued the tradition of posting signs on windows saying, "We won't be decking our halls until Friday, November 29. Why? We just like the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time. Our stores will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving festivities. On Friday, our doors will open to ring in the new season in style."
Between regular stores and outlets, Nordstrom's operates 7 locations in South Florida.
