Man in Gator hat robs Westside Jacksonville bank

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating the robbery of a Fifth Third Bank on 103rd Street on Thursday afternoon.

Robbery detectives said a white man with a full beard entered the bank at 3:11 p.m. and handed a teller a note saying he had a gun. He was given the cash he demanded, and officers said he left the bank on foot.

Sgt. Steve Zona said the man never showed a weapon, and there were no injuries.

The robber was described as 30 to 35 years old, 165 pounds, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches tall wearing a Florida Gator hat, sunglasses, a dark long-sleeve shirt and long pants.
